Are there Contraindications I should know about?

Prodefine Soft must not be used under the following circumstances:
1. For injections in the periorbital zone (eyelids, under eye bags), blood vessels, mammary tissue augmentation, or bone, tendon, ligament, or muscle implants.
2. In patients with autoimmune diseases, immunotherapeutic drug treatments, hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, proven hypertrophic scar tendencies, pigmentation disorders, serious allergies, infections, inflammatory conditions, coagulation disorders, or pregnancy/nursing.
3. By individuals under the age of 18.

What are the Warnings I Should Understand About?

During injection, there’s a rare risk of inadvertent material injection into blood vessels, potentially causing occlusion, abscess, necrosis, or embolic phenomena. Lightly aspirate with the syringe before injecting to prevent vessel penetration. Do not use Prodefine Soft with other injectable products or mixtures. Avoid application on inflamed, infected, or reddened skin. Patients on blood clotting medications may experience bruising or bleeding. Those on anticoagulant medication should cease usage 14 days (about 2 weeks) before injections.

What Precautions Should My Doctor Advise Me?

Prodefine Soft should not be used on sites with ongoing infections or implant areas. It is advisable not to use Prodefine Soft simultaneously with other injectables. Patients should avoid sun exposure, UV lamps, and cold exposure post-treatment.

What Possible Adverse Reactions Should I be Made Aware of?

After Prodefine Soft usage, minor injection-related reactions may occur, including pain, itching, altered pigmentation, and tissue density changes, resolving in about a week. Small edemas may transiently appear. Refer to the Package Insert for comprehensive information on adverse reactions, warnings, and precautions. Consult a healthcare provider to determine if this procedure is suitable for you.
